چکیده
With recent development of mobile Internet technology and connected vehicle technology, trajectory data are readily available exhibit great potential to be used as an alternative source for urban traffic signal control. In this study, a Queue Intensity Adaptive (QIA) algorithm is proposed, using the only input perform adaptive First, Kalman filter-based method employed estimate real-time queue state with trajectories. Then, based on intensity that quantifies queuing pressure, five control situations defined, different min-max optimization models designed correspondingly. Last, situation-aware procedure developed adapt intersection’s intensity. QIA optimizes phase sequence green time simultaneously. One case study was conducted at field intersection in Shenzhen, China. The results show provided 7.4% penetrated trajectories, effectively prevented spillback by constraining temporal percentage under 2.4%. performance also compared Synchro Max Pressure (MP) method. It found Synchro, extreme intensity, spillback, delay, stops were decreased 54.7%, 97%, 22.3%, 45.1%, respectively, MP above four indices 16%, 61.5%, −1.8%, 49.4%, respectively.

Delay Based Signal Control for an Isolated Intersection
Effective traffic management in urban areas is done by adapting traffic signal times to current traffic conditions. At isolated intersections this task is usually realised by fixed time or by conventional vehicle actuated signal controllers. The fixed time signals use predefined green times, they are reliable and cost-efficient but offer no opportunity to adapt on-line. Especially with rapidly ...
متن کاملVehicle Trajectory Impacts of Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is assumed to have a potential to improve quality-of-service and safety and to reduce the environmental impact of the road traffic system. This paper use vehicle trajectories from traffic simulation to study impacts of ACC on vehicle acceleration and deceleration rates. The analysis is based on traffic simulations with car-following models including ACC functionali...
متن کاملAdaptive Robust Control for Trajectory Tracking of Autonomous underwater Vehicles on Horizontal Plane
This manuscript addresses trajectory tracking problem of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) on the horizontal plane. Adaptive sliding mode control is employed in order to achieve a robust behavior against some uncertainty and ocean current disturbances, assuming that disturbance and its derivative are bounded by unknown boundary levels. The proposed approach is based on a dual layer adaptive...
